Why am I doing a portfolio?

                Portfolio is an organized collection of school-work produced by the students. Portfolio provides a widened and detailed vision of the different components of my cognitive; metacognitive and affective development. It helps me develop my personality as a whole. Since learning language is part of our knowledge and curriculum, it becomes key factors in competitiveness.

 Is keeping a language portfolio significant to you?

                For me keeping a language portfolio is significant. Portfolio help me asses and reveal my weaknesses in instructional language process. The significance of this language portfolio in me is incomparable. It is not just a course requirement and means of communicating one’s thought and ideas, but also become tool for forging friendship and solving other academic related things.  During my high school we were not asked to make a portfolio in any subjects especially in language area, so making one for the very first time is very significant for me. It is totally new to me and I’m very excited for my first portfolio.

The goals I want to achieve in an attempt to create a language portfolio.

                The first thing I want to achieve is to get into the minds of the readers what I feel and what I wanted to say, my own point of view about the things that are happening around me through the use of the weekly Reading Logs. Next is to know, observe and correct grammatical errors around me in order to improve my language ability. Another is to inform others that there are a lot of errors around us and the only thing we can do is to correct them and lastly, to pass my ENGLCOM Class and get a 4.0 for my final grade.

A note to the reader

                To all my readers, I hope I was able to express my feelings and what I wanted to say in a way that it is not offending. I hope you’ll learn something from my E-portfolio. To my professor, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for giving me this opportunity to make an E-portfolio. Making a portfolio is not just for the completion of requirements, but for my-self as well. It gave me the chance to gain experience and be observant on things around me. Lastly, to my classmates, I thank you for sharing me this opportunity in making my first portfolio. Every one of you is important building blocks in making a strong educational foundation in my life.
